Central de Venezuela en el Estado de Aragua. El patogeno fue aislado e identificado como la bacteria Xanthomonas campestris pv. manihotis, agente causal del CBB. Esta enfermedad se pensaba restringida al oriente de Venezuela. Es el primer informe de su incidencia en la region central del pais y constituye una seria amenaza para el cultivo de la yuca. This disease was thought to be restricted to the eastern Venezuela. This is the 1st report of its incidence in the central zone, constituting a serious threat to cassava crops. (AS)
