Esta herramienta, el Analista de Acessibilidad, fue programada en el CIAT para automatizar el proceso de crear superficies de accesibilidad. Anteriormente, estas superficies eran generadas con mucha dificultad, paso a paso, empleando el programa (software) Arc INFO del Instituto de Investigación en Sistemas Ambientales (ESRI, del inglés). Cualquier persona que disponga del software ESRI ArcView 3 con ArcView Spatial Analyst puede instalar la herramienta Analista de Acessibilidad. De este sitio Web usted puede bajar el archivo y la documentación correspondiente, puede ver estudios de casos en que el archivo (extension...) ha funcionado, y puede hacerle seguimiento a los enlaces con otras personas que trabajan en el mismo campo.
