La CNAL (Comison Nacional del Alcohol), en Brasil, aprobo en un ano 78 proyectos sobre alcohol: 53 sobre nuevas plantas y 25 sobre planes de ampliacion. Solo 2 de ellos se relacionan con la fabricacion de alcohol de yuca. Hay un tercer proyecto (60.000 l./dia) en Curvelo, Minas Gerais, que no fue incluido en la lista de CNAL sino directamente aprobado por el Ministerio de Industria y Comerico. (CIAT) |

In one year, 78 alcohol project were approved by the National Alcohol Commission (CNAL) in Brazil: 53 involved new plants and 25 involved expansion plans. Only 2 of these involved the manufacture of alcohol from cassava; a 3rd cassava project (60,000 liters/day) in Curvelo, Minas Gerais was not included on the CNAL list but directly approved by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
