Summary, etc	En un ecosistema de bosque tropical semi-siempreverde estacional en Tarapoto, Peru, se evaluaron 5 ecotipos de gramineas y 22 de leguminosas. Por su rapidez de establecimiento, produccion de forraje, tolerancia a plagas y enfermedades y persistencia sobresalieron Andropogon gayanus 621, Brachiaria dictyoneura 6133, B. decumbens 106, Stylosanthes guianensis 64-A, 136 y 191 y Centrosema macrocarpum 5065. Durante la epoca seca se observo persistencia en la produccion en A. gayanus 621 y S. guianensis 1283, 191 y 64-A. La produccion de forraje aumento hasta las 12 semanas tanto en la epoca de max. como de min. precipitacion; el aumento fue mayor entre las 6-9 semanas de edad. (CIAT)
