Se resume los 5 anos de investigacion en cultivo de tejidos en el International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (Ibadan, Nigeria). Se ha utilizado el cultivo de meristemos para eliminar las enfermedades en los cultivos de tuberculos: las plantas libres de enfermedades se pueden distribuir in vitro a los programas nacionales que las soliciten. Meristem culture has been used to eliminate disease in tuber crops: disease- free plants can be distributed in vitro to requesting national programs. Disease-free cassava has been distributed to over 30 countries in Africa. Arrangements for in vitro tuber crop germplasm exchange are described. (AS (extract)) |
