Se describe un modelo de produccion de ganado de carne totalmente interactivo. El componente del ganado esta basado en el modelo Kahn creado en la U. de Reading (Inglaterra), el cual originalmente compartio un no. limitado de caracteristicas con el modelo de texas A & M (EE.UU.) de finales de la decada de los 70. Se pueden manejar hatos hasta de 30 animales por 20 anos de tiempo simulado. El modelo es flexible, y la estructura permite pastoreo en grupo, pastoreo rotacional y pastoreo entre multiples especies forrajeras. Los animales pueden ser comprados, vendidos, eliminados o destetados segun se requiera. Se simulan flujos de efectivo, estimando el valor presente neto y las tasas internas de retorno, y para cualquier corrida especifica del programa se puede realizar un re-analisis economico para investigar los cambios en los parametros economicos. Existe tambien la posibilidad de investigar los sistemas de doble proposito carne-leche. Se documentan las principales relaciones dentro del modelo, se ilustra su uso y se describen los archivos de salida. (RA-CIAT) |
