Se realiazaron 3 experimentos en Vicosa (Brasil) durante la estacion lluviosa de 1973-74 para estudiar la influencia de las distancias de siembra (30, 50 y 70 cm. entre surcos) y niveles de fertilizacion (0, 1 y 2 aplicaciones de NPK) sobre el rendimiento del frijol y sus componentes. Se utilizaron variedades de frijol con diferentes habitos de crecimiento. La producion de semilla solo aumento con los niveles de fertilizacion. Las interacciones espaciamiento x nivel de fertilizacion y espaciamiento x nivel de fertilizacion x variedad no fueron significtivas. Se realizo un ensayo similar durante la estacion seca de 1974-75 con 1 variedad y distancia de 40, 60 y 80 cm. entre cursos. El rendimiento de frijol aumento debido a un incremento en el nivel de fertilizacion y disminucion en las distancias de siembra. La interaccion nivel de fertilizacion x espaciamiento no fue significativa. El componente mas importante del rendimiento fue el no. de vainas/area seguido por el no. promedio de semillas/vaina. El peso promedio de la semilla no ejercio efecto sobre el rendimiento. (RA-CIAT) |

Three experiments were carted out in Vicosa (Brazil) during the rainy season of 1973-74 to study the influence of planting distances (30, 50 and 70 cm betwen rows) and fertilizer levels (0, 1 and 2 applications of NPK) on bean yield and its components. Bean varieties of different growth habits were used. Only fertilizer levels increased seed production. The interactions spacing x fertilizer level and spacing x fertilizer level x variety were not significant. A similar trial was conducted during the 1974-75 dry season, using 1 variety and distances of 40, 60 and 80 cm between rows. An increase in fertilizer level and a decrease in planting distance increased bean yield. The interaction fertilizer level x spacing was not significant. The no. of pods/area was the most important yield component, followed by av no. of seeds/pod, Av seed wt had no effect on yield. (AS) |
