| Summary, etc | Se realizaron 6 ensayos preliminares de rendimiento en la Zona Metalurgica, Minas Gerais (Brasil), que incluyeron 8 variedades locales de frijol y 23 introducidas de la Universidad Federal de Vicosa. Solo una variedad local dio rendimiento significativamente menores que las variedades introducidas mas productivas (Jalo EEP 558; Vi: 1013, 1009. 1010, 1011, 1008; Carioca, Ricobaio 1014). | Summary, etc | Six preliminary yield trials were carried out in the Zona Metalurgica, Minas Gerais (Brazil), including 8 local and 23 bean varieties introduced from the Universidade Federal de Vicosa. Only 1 local variety yielded significantly lower than the most productive introduced varieties (Jalo EEP 558; Vi. 1013, 1009, 1010, 1011, 1008; Carioca: Ricobaio 1014). Six black bean varieties were also outstanding, but they are not commercially acceptable in that area. (AS) |
