Different aspects (symptomatology) of CBB are reviewed and progress made towards its control in Nigeria is summarized. Effective control measures are pruning of infected plant parts, late or early planting, balanced fertilization, intercropping with maize and/or melon, selection of resistant cassava cv., and burial of inoculum sources to reduce the pathogen's longevity.
