Summary: Se organizo una expedicion en 1984 para obtener informacion sobre la produccion de frijol en Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia y Zimbabwe. Esta informacion representa valiosa literatura sobre investigacion que no se encuentra disponible a traves de las fuentes convencionales. Se realizaron entrevistas personales a los cientificos para explorar diferentes aspectos del cultivo del frijol tales como entomologia, suelos, datos estadisticos, mejoramiento, nutricion, sistemas de cultivo, enfermedades y plagas que atacan el frijol, datos sobre produccion, mercadeo y nutricion del frijol.
