El contenido de almidon fue mas alto en los hibridos H-1172, H-242, H-123 y H-21/77. Los hibridos liberados H-97, H-226, H-2304 y H-1687 consistentemente dieron buenos rendimientos en todas las localidades estudiadas. Av. root yields ranged from 1.1 to 2.2 kg/plant. Over all locations hybrid 123/74 gave the highest yields, and at Chokkad Center, the av. root yield of all hybrids was the highest. Starch content was higher in hybrids H-1172, H-242, H-123, and H-21/77. Released hybrids H-97, H- 226, H-2304, and H-1687 consistently gave good yields at all the locations tested. (CIAT)
