Se revisan algunas consideraciones basicas sobre el mejoramiento de la yuca. Se intento producir un sistema de mejoramiento de yuca mundialmente aplicable y describir el estado actual y el desarrollo futuro del mejoramiento de yuca. An attempt was made to produce a cassava breeding system applicable on a worldwide basis and to describe the present state and the future development of cassava breeding. (AS)
