Programa de Frijol: Informe Anual 1984Summary: En ene. de 1984, se inicio un proyecto en CIAT para mejorar el manejo de datos del Programa de Frijol y la Unidad de Recursos Geneticos mediante el uso de SMID/C (Sistema de Manejo Integrado de Datos, correlativo), un sistema producido por Cullinet Software Inc. Para el Programa de Frijol, las principales ventajas de este sistema sobre otros son: a) maneja grandes cantidades de datos, y b) se establece dentro del sistema una completa integracion entre los microcomputadores y la base de datos central de la estructura principal. Se presentan los principales objetivos del uso de este sistema.
