Se llevo a cabo un expt. en el Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Mandioca e Fruticultura (CNPMF), en Cruz das Almas, Bahia, Brasil para comprobar la influencia de la aplicacion de abono verde en el rendimiento de la yuca. Este ensayo se dividio en 2 etapas; la primera incluyo la seleccion y siembra de 4 especies de leguminosas (haba, frijol, caupi y Dolichus lablab). Los tratamientos fueron: a) leguminosas sin abono; b) leguminosas + P; c) leguminosas + PK y d) leguminosas + NPK. La segunda etapa correspondera a la siembra de yuca en las franjas ocupadas anteriormente por las leguminosas, reservando una franja para la fertilizacion quimica. (CIAT) spa
An expt. was conducted at the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Mandioca e Fruticultura (CNPMF), in Cruz das Almas, Bahia, Brazil to determine the influence of the application of green manures on cassava yield. The trial was divided into 2 stages; the 1st included the selection and planting of 4 leguminous species (jack beans, beans, cowpea, and Dolichus lablab). Treatments were: (a) pulses with no fertilizer; (b) pulses + P;(c) pulses + PK; and (d) pulses + NPK.
