Summary: Para determinar las mejores var. de yuca para el municipio de Irara, Bahia, se realizo un experimento de competencia entre 8 cv. de yuca de alto rendimiento de la region de Cruz das Almas (Salangor Preta, Cigarra Preta, Sutinga Preta, Mamao, Aipim Bravo, Milagrosa, Graveto y Salangorzinha) con 2 var. locales (Palmeira Preta y Gemedeira). Los mejores cv. para la produccion de raices fueron Aipim Bravo (30,7 kg/ha), Mamao (23,0 kg) y Palmeira Preta (20,3 Kg); el primero fue estadisticamente superior a los demas.
