At present the Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (CTCRI) in Trivandrum, India, maintains germplasm of 1465 genetic stocks of indigenous and exotic origin, which is the largest assemblage in Asia. Two catalogues and a bulletin on germplasm resources of cassava have already bean brought out from CTCRI. The present paper reviews information on the extent of variability for morphological, physiological, biochemical attributes and reaction to pests and diseases eng
