Branca de Santa Catarina and IAC- Mantiqueira were determined. Samples were taken at 6 different times during plant development, at 60-day intervals beginning after the initiation of sprouting in the cuttings. Sampled plants were divided into roots, stems, and leaves and analyzed for Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, and B. Results indicated that the resp. adequate ranges in leaves, stems (120 days), and roots (180 days) are as follows: 249-333, 131-145, and 154-174 ppm Fe; 262- 280, 106-113, and 7-12 ppm Mn; 8-9, 11-13, and 2-3 ppm Cu; 37-40, 29-34, and 9-13 ppm Zn; and 46-52, 32-34, and 12-13 ppm B. On av., for both cv., the max. extraction was 67.1, 34.4, 2.1, 7.5, and 14.2 g Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, and B, resp., necessary for the production of 1 t roots and a max. export of 29.5, 4.2, 0.9, 3.0, and 2.7 g/t roots, resp.
