Legislators today are looking for cooperation between public agencies and all interested parties of the dry bean industry in the transfer of technology to producers. Prior to ON-FARM trials, I was stuck at one location with variety trials only and waited for field day or a newsletter opportunity to share results. Now, I put out trials on farms throughout the entire bean producing area of Nebraska, share experiences I never shared before, and gain insight into things I never dreamed of before. Working on dry bean production farms through ON-FARM trials is far greater than any one person's agenda, however, I feel I am far more relevant and responsive today in the transfer of knowledge than I ever was in the past. ON-FARM trials work in the transfer of production information for the benefit of all segments of the dry bean industry
