Se uso un diseno de bloques completos al azar con 6 tratamientos y 4 repeticiones. La defoliacion de plantas de 6 meses de edad redujo el rendimiento en 27.5 por ciento . La defoliacion solo afecto el porcentaje de almidon en plantas de 2 y 4 meses de edad. A randomized complete block design was used with 6 treatments and 4 replications. Defoliation of 6-mo.-old plants reduced root yield by 27.5 percent. Defoliation affected only the percentage of starch in 2- and 4-mo.-old plants. (AS)
