Se tratan ademas los nematodos del nudo radical (Meloidogyne incognita, M. javanica, M. arenaria, M. hapla) y los nematodos causantes de lesiones radicales (Pratylenchus branchyurus). Se presenta en detalle la epidemiologia, la diseminacion, la supervivencia de la bacteria y las condiciones favorables a la infeccion por CBB. (CIAT)Summary: An analysis is made of the symptomatology and the control of the main cassava diseases caused by: (1) bacteria: CBB (Xanthomonas manihotis); (2) fungi: anthracnose (Glomerella manihotis). cassava ash (Oidium manihotis), brown leaf spot (Cercosporidium henningsii), blight leaf spot (Cercospora vicosae), rust (Uromyces spp.). concentric-ring leaf spot (Phoma spp., Phyllosticta spp.), stem rot (Glomerella and Botryodiplodia spp.), root rot [Phytopthora drechsleri, Rosellinia necatrix, Corticium (= Sclerotium) rolfsii, Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, Aspergillus spp.]; (3) mycoplasma: witches'-broom; (4) viruses: leaf vein mosaic, common mosaic, African mosaic and vascular streaking. Root knot nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita, M. javanica, M. arenaria, M. hapla) and lesion nematodes (Pratylenchus brachyurus) are also discussed. The epidemiology, dissemination, bacterial survival and favorable conditions for CBB infection are discussed in detail. (CIAT)
