Aflatoxin levels in foodstuffs in Fiji and Tonga islands

In cassava-based pig feed, an av. aflatoxin concn. of 7 mg/kg was found, possibly due to the dried cassava included in the feed; this level, however, was not considered serious. Raw, boiled, and baked cassava samples were also used, collected from urban Fijian households. Foods were stored at room temp. and tested at daily intervals for the presence of aflatoxin.
