Annual Report (USA)Summary: Se informa brevemente sobre la existencia de un gene dominante de resistencia a la raza delta de Colletotrichum lindemuthianum que es diferente al gene Are y que esta presente en frijol NEP-2. En 1981 se inocularon plantulas F2 del cruzamiento fleetwood BC6-Are x NEP-2 con inoculo de la raza delta en 2 pruebas; ambas dieron un buen ajuste a una razon de 15:1, el cual es de esperarse para 2 genes independientes que proporcionan resistencia. In 1981 F2 seedlings of the cross fleetwood BC6-Are x NEP-2 were inoculated with delta inoculum in 2 tests; both gave a good fit to a 15:1 ratio which would be expected for 2 independent genes giving resistance.
