Se dan las caracteristicas de frijoles arbustivos promisorios de madurez temprana y de variedades semitrepadoras de madurez relativamente temprana. Se recomiendan las siguientes variedades resistentes: Pinto 162 y 108; Amarillo 153, 154 y 155; E.A.P. 88-B; y Negro 151. (CIAT)Summary: Since the bean pod weevil (Apion godmani) is difficult to control chemically, trials were conducted to evaluate bean varieties, lines and hybrids, mainly for resistance to this pest. the characteristics are given of promising early-maturing bush beans and fairly early-maturing, semiclimbing varieties.
