All plants were inoculated 18 days after planting with a suspension of Xanthomonas campestris pv. phaseoli. Results confirm that I84100 exhibits good blight tolerance under field conditions. Data on progressive leaf and pod reactions to X. campestris pv. phaseoli, and percentage of seed infection of 7 bean genotypes inoculated with the pathogen are included in table form. (CIAT)
