Las progenies se obtuvieron mediante el cruce de la linea mejorada XR-235-1 y el cv. Calima. Se detectaron diferencias de alelos para los loci de proteina de semilla con electroforesis de geles de poliacrilamida-DSS y aquellos para los loci de la enzima con electroforesis de geles de almidon y colorantes de actividad. El color de la testa de la semilla del Calima es un modelo moteado rojo/beige y el de XR-235-1 es blanco. Se siguio la segregacion en el locus P registrando el fenotipo del BC1S1 y la semilla de F3. Un grupo del vinculo que comprende ca. 90 cM se detecto con el orden siguiente de genes: Est- 2 - 11 - pha - 8 -(Spe/Spg) - 24- P - 9 -(Spa/Spb)-16 - Spba - 22 - Mdh-1. Ademas, se detecto otro grupo del vinculo: (Spd/spf/sph) - 5 -Spca. En consecuencia, parece que las proteinas de semilla se organizan en los conglomerados en el genoma de frijol. (RA-CIAT)Summary: The linkage relationship of 11 bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) seed proteins (including phaseolin), 9 enzyme loci, and the P locus were analyzed in backcross and F2 progenies by use of the software package Mapmaker. The progenies were obtained by crossing the breeding line XR-235-1 and the cultivar Calima. Allelic differences for seed protein loci were detected with SDS-PAGE and those for enzyme loci with starch gel electrophoresis and activity stains. The seed coat color of Calima is a red/beige mottled pattern and that of XR-235-1 is white. Segregation at the P locus was followed by recording the phenotype of the BC1S1 and F3 seed. A linkage group comprising ca. 90 cM was detected with the following gene order: Est-2 - 11 - pha - 8 -(Spe/Spg) - 24- P - 9 -(Spa/Spb)-16 - Spba - 22 - Mdh-1. In addition, another linkage group was detected: (Spd/spf/sph) - 5 - Spca. Therefore, the seed proteins appear to be organized in clusters in the bean genome. (AS)
