N2  - Se presenta una lista de fabricantes y proveedores posibles de la extraccion de almidon y equipos para el procesamiento. Para clasificar la maquinaria se dividio el proceso en 5 operaciones basicas: preparacion (lavado y pelado), trituracion, tamizado o cribado, separacion (sedimentacion -deshidratacion) y secado. Se presenta una breve explicacion de cada una de estas operaciones. Entre las principales organizaciones que producen equipo que utiliza la yuca como materia prima se destacan Newell Dunford Engineering (Reino Unido), Projects Development Institute (PRODA - Nigeria), Starcosa (Republica Federal Alemana), Hovex Engineering y Nivoba (Paises Bajos). In order to classify the equipment, starch extraction was divided into 5 basic operations: preparation (washing and peeling), comminution, screening, separation (sedimentation-dewatering), and drying. A brief description of each operation is given. Major organizations that produce equipment that use cassava as raw material are Newell Dunford Engineering (United Kingdom), Projects Development Institute (PRODA-Nigeria), Starcosa (German Federal Republic), Hovex Engineering and Nivoba (Netherlands).(CIAT)
