(RA-CIAT); Plant production and potential productivity of cassava were investigated during the 1981 and 1982 growing seasons at Cikeumeuh exptl. farm of Bogor Research Institute for Food Crops (Indonesia). DM production and tuberous root growth were measured and indices of plant production were analyzed. The CGR and NAR had high values in the active thickening and maturation growth stages. The orientation adjustment of the leaf blade was observed. This movement adjusted the reception of incident solar radiation throughout the day. Variations in the angle were described by the inclination, subinclination, and direction angles. The potential productivity of cassava was analyzed using grafts combining scion and stock of 2 cv. and 1 local var. The potential productivity of the tuberous root was found to be independent of scion character. However, the scion was a secondary influence of root thickening if the stock was of a late root thickening type. (AS) ER -
