N2  - Este es un informe preliminar sobre el rendimiento de 2 variedades de frijol (negro y rojo) cultivadas en gravilla (tamiz No. 5) en camas de cemento asbestado. Se aplico a las plantas una solucion nutritiva comercial y se practico subirrigacion automatica a intervalos diferentes. Los rendimientos obtenidos bajo estas condiciones fueron superiores a 6.000 kg/ha para las 2 variedades. Es posible que con mejores practicas de manejo se puedan incrementar los rendimientos. (RA-CIAT); This is a preliminary report on the yield of 2 bean varieties (black and red) grown in gravel (mesh no. 5) in asbestos cement beds. The plants were given a commercial nutrient solution and were subirrigated automatically at different intervals. The yield obtained under these conditions was higher than 6,000 kg/ha for both varieties. With better management, yields would probably improve. (AS)
