The effect of foliar fungicide applications was evaluated for seedborne fungi control and for germination and vigor of dry bean seeds. Tests were taken in two fields experiments at Osorio and Viamao Experimental Stations, Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil, during 1987/88 growing seasons Benomyl, Mancozeb, Benomyl + Mancozeb, Methyl Thyophanate, Methyl Thyophanate + Mancozeb, Methyl Thryophanate + Chlorothalonil and Chlorothalonil were field sprayed three times, at 15-days intervals after the beggining of flowering. Treatments increased sanitary seed quality and reduced seedborne fungi, mainly soilborne fungi, in both localities. Only in Osorio there was significant increasing in germination and vigor of seeds, mainly with sistemics (Benomyl and Methyl Thyophanate) products eng
