Summary: Se presentan los resultados de la investigacion en frijol en monocultivo y en asociacion con maiz, realizados en el Campo Agricola Exptl. Los Altos de Jalisco, Centro de Investigaciones Agricolas de El Bajio (Jalisco, Mexico), durante el ciclo primavera- verano de 1983. frijol en monocultivo fueron realizados en las areas de mejoramiento genetico, fertilizacion, control de malezas, entomologia, fitopatologia (evaluacion de los viveros internacionales) y recursos geneticos. investigacion en la asociacion maiz-frijol se realizaron en las areas de mejoramiento genetico, fertilizacion y entomologia.Summary: Results are presented of the research work on beans grown alone and in association with maize carried out during the spring-summer cycle of 1983 at the Los Altos de Jalisco exptl. Field, Centro de Investigaciones Agricolas de El Bajio (Jalisco, Mexico). The research work on beans in mnoculture was conducted in the areas of genetic improvement, fertilization, weed control, entomology, plant pathology (evaluation of international nurseries), and genetic resources.
