Solo una variedad local dio rendimiento significativamente menores que las variedades introducidas mas productivas (Jalo EEP 558; Vi: 1013, 1009. 1010, 1011, 1008; Carioca, Ricobaio 1014). Tambien sobresalieron 6 variedades de frijol negro, pero no son comercialmente aceptables en esa region.
